Nurse Practitioner

Kaitlyn M. Choy studied human physiology and biology at the University of Oregon. She then completed her accelerated bachelor’s of nursing from Roseman University of Health Sciences in Henderson. She obtained her master’s degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner from Columbus State University. Kaitlyn has been with Vegas Vascular Specialists since 2021.

Kaitlyn is board certified as a family nurse practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is an experienced surgical first assist nurse practitioner. She is a member of the American Nurses Association and the Nevada Nurses Association. Kaitlyn is licensed to practice in Nevada and in Oregon.

Prior to joining vascular surgery, Kaitlyn worked as a nurse practitioner in an urgent care. As a registered nurse, she gained experience in neurology at Nevada’s first Joint Commision certified advanced comprehensive stroke center and subsequently worked in critical care. Her professional interests include vascular surgery, lymphedema management, and management of acute and chronic arterial and venous diseases. Kaitlyn assisted Dr. Luh in performing the first Transcarotid Artery Revascularization (TCAR) surgery at Southern Hills Hospital. She takes pride in providing comprehensive, patient-centered care and mentors nurse practitioner students as a vascular surgery clinical preceptor.

Kaitlyn was born and raised in Oregon and lived in Stockholm, Sweden prior to moving to Las Vegas. She enjoys traveling, snowboarding, road cycling, and mountain biking in her free time.
