Alexander B. Gidaya, MD is a dual board-certified vascular and general surgeon with advanced fellowship training in complex open and endovascular techniques. He provides comprehensive care for the full spectrum of vascular disease, with clinical expertise in aortic aneurysm repair, limb salvage for critical limb-threatening ischemia, and complex peripheral arterial and venous pathology.
Dr. Gidaya earned his undergraduate degree in Integrative Biology from the University of California, Berkeley, and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School. He completed his general surgery residency at ChristianaCare in Newark, Delaware, one of the largest independent academic medical centers in the country. He went on to complete fellowship training in vascular and endovascular surgery at Geisinger Medical Center, a nationally recognized center of excellence in vascular surgery.
Dr. Gidaya combines a meticulous, evidence-based approach with a strong focus on individualized patient care and long-term outcomes. He has authored peer-reviewed publications in both general and vascular surgery and maintains an active interest in advancing minimally invasive techniques and clinical outcomes in complex vascular disease.
Outside of his surgical practice, Dr. Gidaya enjoys traveling, golfing, and spending time with his family
